Our Mission
Our mission is to bring back smiles to kids and teens who have lost a loved one to cancer. We believe that kids who have lost a loved one to stage IV cancer deserve a chance to move on to "stage 5" of life, where they can connect with other kids and teens who have experienced the same loss. Together—through high school peer-led groups—kids and teens can grieve, embrace life, and grow as a community as they find their footing in this new landscape. Our services include fun events, ongoing group activities, and peer-led support.

Each of our members boasts a comprehensive understanding of a diverse range of subjects. With the consent of the parent and child, each tutoring session will conclude with an engaging and age-appropriate activity, ensuring both the parent and child (elementary school to middle schooler) find the experience fulfilling, whether online or in person.
Cancer's Impact
Roughly 1.9 million people get diagnosed with cancer every year and of that population, 600 thousand die. These cancer patients are oftentimes stressed parents, and the burden of cancer only amplifies their hardship. These parents are concerned about the negative effects of their treatment process on their kids. As a result, they carry the guilt of not being able to investing as much time as they were previously able to.
Living Stage 5 was founded by high school students to support families facing cancer. Our aim is to provide resources to help these families care for their children during this difficult time.
